Today we announced that the ShowerSaver was available for retail sale. I say finally because to quote one of my favorite bands (the Grateful Dead), what a long, strange trip it has been. When I started on this journey over 7 years ago, I could not have imagined the time, effort, and most tangibly, the amount of money it would have taken to get us to this point (thanks mom!). But don’t let me sound like I am complaining, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the product and I really couldn’t be more excited to start getting the word out and building a business. So where do we go from here?
Since anyone who showers can benefit from the ShowerSaver, I am targeting both individuals and businesses alike both here in the US as well as various countries abroad. While getting the word out to individual consumers will never be easy unless you happen to get on Shark Tank (stay tuned…), thanks to Amazon, getting the product out is much easier. Since we don’t have a large warehouse to fulfill orders, Amazon takes the hassle out for us, and few can argue just how good they are at logistics and distribution. Finally, working with Amazon, consumers benefit from both Prime and SuperSaver shipping.
On the wholesale side of things, I have already had some interesting conversations with a few big hotel chains, a large university, and several apartment complexes. When creating a new product, I understand that education is paramount, and that is why I have been happy to work on some trials with these potential customers. I know that people really enjoy using the ShowerSaver and I’m happy to let that shine through! Stay tuned for more…
